Tom Lydon

Tom Lydon is editor and publisher of ETF Trends, a website with daily news and commentary about the fast-changing trends in the exchange traded fund (ETF) industry.

Mr. Lydon is also CEO of Global Trends Investments, an investment advisory firm specializing in the creation of customized portfolios for high-net worth individuals. He has been involved in money management for more than 25 years.

Mr. Lydon serves on the Board of Directors for U.S. Global Investors, Inc. and Guggenheim Investments.

In early 2010, Mr. Lydon helped create the CNBC Model ETF Portfolios. 

Mr. Lydon is the author of The ETF Trend Following Playbook, as well as iMoney: Profitable Exchange-Traded Fund Strategies for Every Investor. He is Co-Founder of Virtual Summits, educational virtual events for financial advisors.

Robert Powell is president of Unison, LLC, a Salem, Mass.-based communications and consulting firm. He is also the Executive Producer of PBS' More Than Money, a new personal finance television series.

Mr. Powell has more than 20 years of financial services industry and media experience in Internet, broadcast, print and radio. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, MarketWatch, and Money Life. He has also served as host or co-host of several television, radio and Internet chat programs.

Robert was formerly managing director of Acadient, Inc. of Boston, where he managed programs for personal finance educational institutions, and also served as managing director and editor-in-chief of Boston-based DALBAR, Inc., where he headed the firm's multi-million dollar publishing company. He has been The Boston Herald's personal finance and mutual funds columnist as well as a business reporter for the Berkshire Eagle and Boston Business Journal. He has a bachelor's degree from Marquette University and a master's degree in journalism from Boston University College of Communication. Robert lives in Swampscott, Mass. with his wife and four children; triplet boys and a daughter.
